Aa. Zhukov et al., CRITICAL-STATE OF A THIN SUPERCONDUCTING PLATE IN AN INCLINED MAGNETIC-FIELD, Journal of experimental and theoretical physics (Print), 87(1), 1998, pp. 152-161
A solution is obtained for the Bean critical-slate model in an incline
d magnetic field which leads to localization of the irreversible magne
tic moment induced by the shielding currents. An experimental investig
ation of YBa2Cu3Oy single crystals and epitaxial films, and also plate
s of classical superconductors using vector magnetometry yields result
s fully consistent with the model calculations. The established geomet
ric effects have an important influence on measurements of the angular
dependence of the critical current and its anisotropy in a high-tempe
rature superconductor. (C) 1998 American Institute of Physics.
