Abstract
We use a factorized L operator to construct an integrable model with o pen boundary conditions. By taking the trigonometric (tau --> root-1 i nfinity) and scaling limits (w-->0), we get a Hamiltonian of a classic al integrable system. It shows that this integrable system is similar to those found by Calogero et al. [J. Math. Phys. 10, 2191 (1969); 12, 419 (1971)]. (C) 1998 American Institute of Physics.
