Abstract
We discuss the algebraic way of solving the descent equations correspo nding to the BRST consistency condition for the gauge anomalies and th e Chern-Simons terms on a nontrivial bundle. The method of decomposing the exterior space-time derivative as a BRST commutator is extended t o the present case. (C) 1998 American Institute of Physics.
