Abstract
The structure and properties of electrochemically synthesized oligomer s of the mono n-octyl-ester of 3(3-thienyl)glutaric acid (EGA) have be en studied. By using UV-Vis, FT-IR, H-1-NMR, emission as well as simul ated UV-Vis and H-1-NMR spectra of the product it has been found that the trimer of EGA with a non-stereoregular structure of the head-to-he ad and tail-to-tail type (HT-TT) is formed as a main product after acc omplishing the electrosynthesis.
