Abstract
Blowout is of great concern in the measurement of dustfall by using de position gauges. In this paper the blowout potential is considered in terms of the maximum skin-friction coefficient existing on the inner b ottom surface of a gauge. Extensive computational studies revealed the effect of design parameters on the performance characteristics of gau ges, particularly under blowout conditions.
