Abstract
Conditions have been developed for the atom transfer radical addition reaction of bromoesters to enol ethers. The putative intermediate halo ethers are allowed to ionize and the resulting cations are trapped by addition or elimination reactions. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
