Jde. Creighton et Rb. Mann, ENTROPY OF CONSTANT CURVATURE BLACK-HOLES IN GENERAL-RELATIVITY - ART. NO. 024013, Physical review. D. Particles and fields, 5802(2), 1998, pp. 4013
We consider the thermodynamic properties of the constant curvature bla
ck hole solution recently found by Banados. We show that it is possibl
e to compute the entropy and the quasilocal thermodynamics of the spac
etime using the Einstein-Hilbert action of general relativity. The ent
ropy we obtain is not associated with the event horizon; rather it is
associated with the Killing horizon of static observers, which is tang
ent to the event horizon. This unusual feature of the constant curvatu
re black hole has not been seen in other black hole spacetimes. [S0556
