Abstract
A significant portion of the research on Black students focuses on tho se who are in academic difficulty. This study examined the experiences of high-ability Black collegians to understand their academic, social , and racial experiences. The findings of this study suggest that high -achieving Blacks may experience a different type of isolation from ot her Black students.
