Abstract
Three new lignans were obtained from the roots of Bupleurum salicifoli um (Umbelliferae). Two proved to be butenolides, methylchasnarolide 1 ! and chasnarolide 3!, and the other, a gamma-butyrolactone, was benc hequiol 6!. Their structures were determined by spectral and chemical means.
