Ae. Dolbak et al., EFFECTS OF FE-CO, CO-NI, AND NI-FE COADSORPTION ON THE SI(111) SURFACE-STRUCTURE, PHYSICS OF LOW-DIMENSIONAL STRUCTURES, 7-8, 1998, pp. 175-185
Effects of Fe-Co; Co-Ni, and Ni-Fe coadsorption on the Si(111) surface
structure was studied by low-energy electron diffraction and Auger el
ectron spectroscopy. A correlation has been established between the Si
(111) surface structure, metal coverage values, and the temperature of
heat treatment. The relative stability of the Fe, Co, and Ni induced
structures has been investigated. It has been shown that the Fe-induce
d Si(111) structures are the most stable of the structures induced by
Fe, Co, and Ni, and the Ni-induced ones are the least stable.
