Abstract
Rewiring of an occluded and incompletely deployed coronary stent with a sharp and/or tortuous entrance angle may be difficult in the emergen cy setting. We report the case of a patient who experienced subacute s tent thrombosis in the proximal right coronary artery. Incorrect rewir ing resulted in stent crush after conventional balloon angioplasty at lesion site. In order to improve the angiographic result parallel sten t placement was performed. Repeat angiography at 6 months demonstrated vessel patency without restenosis. (C) 1998 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
