Abstract
Comparison of an accuracy and computational efficiency has been carrie d out for several parameterizations of the radiative cooling in the st ratosphere and the mesosphere in both the 15 mum CO2 and the 9.6 mum O 3 bands. As a result, specific parametrizations are recommended to be used in numerical models of the middle atmospheric dynamics and compos ition.
