Abstract
The authors wish to present a class of mathematical functions that can be used to calculate the distance between fuzzy sets. Essential is th at this distance is given by a semi-pseudometric, i.e. the triangle in equality is not fulfilled. The relation to the ordinary pseudometrics is explained.
