Abstract
A synthetic approach to 17(13 --> 18)-abeo-pregnanes from -hydroxy-17b eta,18-cyclo-17alpha-pregn-5-en-20-one (1) is described; the preparati on of 17(13 --> 18)-abeo-progesterone (5) and its 17beta-H epimer (7) is reported.
