Abstract
Clinical examinations focus on the indicated region of pain considerin g the pain-regulating factors. Psychogenic and somatical findings can coexist. General medical neurological and orthopedic examinations are obligatory. Headache and back pain require manual examinations. Specif ic examinations are optional, depending on the individual findings and problems. An ''add-on program'' as a routine check-up does not exist. The documentation of the findings is recommended.
