M. Kohlickova et al., TECHNETIUM COMPLEXES - THEIR POSSIBLE USE IN RADIOPHARMACY AND PHARMACOKINETIC PROPERTIES, Chemicke listy, 92(8), 1998, pp. 643-655
Tc-99m is the most widely used radionuclide in the nuclear medicine. C
hemistry of the coordination compounds of Tc is given a permanent extr
aordinary attention in connection with the continued development of ne
w radiopharmaceutical preparations for diagnostics. Stability, structu
re and lipophilicity of Tc complexes with ligands allowing for selecti
ve functional representation and organ distribution is studied with re
gard to the expected pharmacokinetic properties. Citrate ions, iminoac
etate chelating groups, diphosphonate, mercaptoacetylglycinate, dimerc
aptosuccinate, hexamethylpropyleneaminoxime, methoxy-iso-butylnitrilo,
ethylenedicysteine, and isocyanide ligands were studied in Tc complex
es as ligands or complete chelating groups. The possible diagnostic ap
plications of individual complexes is indicated. The survey of labelle
d Tc compounds for the verified diagnostic applications is given.
