Abstract
In this paper, a mathematical model using the dual stream function met hod is proposed to investigate the plastic deformation behavior of the rod in the roll-gap during planetenshragwalzwerk (PSW) rolling proces ses. The rolling torque and the initial velocity of the product are pr edicted under various rolling conditions such as the angular velocity of the roll, the diameter of the rod at the entrance, friction factor, inclined angle and offset angle, etc. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A.
