Several developments are likely to have significant impact on scholars hip in the field of law and economics in the future. These include, fi rst, creation of a richer base of empirical work; second development o f theories in human decisionmaking which surpass the explanatory value of the rational choice model; and third incorporation of equitable co nsiderations into analyses of legal commands and institutions.
