A capacitive immunosensor for the detection of the interaction between
benzo[a]pyrene-bovine serum albumin (BaP-BSA) and a monoclonal antibo
dy (designated as MAb10c10) specific to BaP has been developed. MAb10c
10 was immobilized on a gold electrode through a self-assembled monola
yer of cystamine. Linear sweep voltammetry showed that the charging cu
rrent decreased with BaP-BSA binding to the antibody on the electrode,
and calibration curves were constructed for BaP-BSA and Pyrene-BSA in
the range of 0.01 mu M-6.00 mu M. Selectivity over structurally relat
ed analytes is observed.
