The precise shape and width of the temporal and spectral correlation f
unctions in fluctuations that appear when coherent optical pulses prop
agate through static disordered media depend on the observation time a
nd the pulse duration of the incident light. When the pulse duration o
f the incident light is much longer than the distribution of trajector
y length, a previously shown minimum uncertainty relation in the tempo
ral and spectral fluctuations breaks down. Detailed experimental resul
ts obtained using picosecond pulses show a good agreement with the the
oretical calculation based on the diffusion approximation.
