Abstract
In a rabbit breeding farm with a birth rhythm of 42 days belonging to LAMMERS and PETERSEN (1989a) three different doe groups: young does af ter their first birth (group I, N = 110), old does after one birth (gr . 2, N = 100) as well as old does, which were three times inseminated without success (gr. 3, N = 103) were treated teach injected with 1,0 mi subcutan, 9 days before next insemination), after a clinical examin ation, in a blind study with one of the homeopathic combination prepar ations Ovarium compositum respectively Coenzyme compositum or with a p hysiological common salt solution (control groups). Concerning the doe group 3 the prostaglandin F 2 alpha-injection was not given to them a fter the third negative pregnancy examination and the operational inse mination scheme for them was interrupted for one time (management-modi fications). The genitals of 32 does have been taken out after the sele ction-slaughtering of these animals and have been examinated. More tha n 80% of the fertility disorders of the does in an intensive owning we re only temporary and most of them due to the stress. By changing the insemination management tone stop of the animals of the operational in semination scheme, non-using of the artificial luteolyse with the help of prostaglandin's a better mating willingness of the does and higher numbers of pregnancy correlated. The homeopathic treatment effectivel y supported the measures of management-improvements on does with ferti lity disorders. A treatment with Ovarium compositum produced a higher pregnancy number of 9,5% in comparison with the control group. In addi tion to that, the Ovarium compositum-treatment of the does also influe nced the figures of the young animals the groups 1 and 2 in a visible positive way.
