A shift of the symmetry axis of the main conal components relative to
the central component was discovered in the mean profile of PSR B032954; this shift increases with decreasing frequency. This effect is acc
ounted for by the combined influence of aberration and retardation, an
d is related to the difference Delta r similar to 10(8) cm in the leve
ls where the emission at 103 and 10 700 MHz is formed. The conal compo
nents are generated r similar to 10(9) cm from the center of the neutr
on star by the Cerenkov resonance, while the cyclotron mechanism is re
sponsible for the formation of the central component in deeper layers
of the magnetosphere (r similar to 10(8) cm).
