Abstract
Trichloroacetic acid hydrazones, prepared from the condensation of car bonyl derivatives with trichloroacetic acid hydrazide, display interes ting chemical behaviour in the presence of a base. Aromatic and alpha, beta-unsaturated aldehyde hydrazones in particular are easily transfor med into 1,3,4 oxadiazoles derivatives.
