Abstract
The crystal structure of catena-poly[[tetraaqua-2 kappa(4)O-mu-triphen ylacetato-1:2 kappa(2)O:O'-bis(triphenylacetato)-1 ppa(4)O,-O'-dimanga nese(II)]-mu-triphenylacetato-2 kappa O:1'kappa O'], [Mn-2(C20H15O2)(4 )(H2O)(4)](n), was determined at 294 K by single-crystal X-ray diffrac tion. This compound has a chain structure with repeating dimeric units containing two crystallographically independent Mn-II atoms bridged b y sym-sym-(mu-triphenylacetato-O,O') groups via cis positions.
