CARDIAC SARCOIDOSIS PRESENTING WITH CARDIOGENIC-SHOCK - ONE CASE-REPORT

The authors report a case of cardiac sarcoidosis in a 38 year old pati ent presenting initially with cardiogenic shock. The diagnosis was mad e by myocardial biopsy. The patient underwent cardiac transplantation for terminal, refractory cardiac failure but postoperative complicatio ns led to the death of the patient a few weeks later. This rare observ ation should be noted because the causal disease may benefit from spec ific therapy.
