Abstract
The synthesis of nanosized zinc blende using organic surfactants as an organic template results in a narrow textural mesopore size distribut ion after surfactant removal. The findings from X-ray diffraction meas urements indicate randomly ordered pores, which is in goad agreement w ith the reported results of transmission electron microscopy investiga tions. The complete removal of surfactants-much more difficult for mic roporous sulfides than for microporous oxides-is confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.
