Abstract
An algorithm for computing the anisotropic elastic Green's function an d its derivatives is presented. The method is based upon the calculus of residues, the main requirement being the computation of the roots o f a sixth degree polynomial. It is demonstrated herein that this proce dure is faster and more accurate than the standard Wilson-Cruse interp olation scheme, and moreover the need for extensive precalculated tabl es is eliminated.
