Abstract
Aluminium alkoxide moieties are grafted onto purely siliceous mesoporo us MCM-41 via siloxide linkages, producing materials which reveal enha nced catalytic activity in the MPV reduction of cyclic ketones; nitrog en physisorption and Al-27 MAS NMR spectroscopy are applied to charact erise the catalytically active hybrid systems.
