Electric properties of passivating films that form at the Li electrode
surface in solutions based on propylene carbonate are studied by the
impedance method. The impedance spectrum is shown to be modeled by an
equivalent circuit comprising the geometrical capacitance and ionic re
sistance of the film, capacitance of the ionic space charge in the fil
m, and the Warburg impedance referred to diffusion of lithium cations.
Alteration of impedance spectra during the electrode storage in solut
ion is discussed.
