Abstract
Ditoluenetitanium is proposed as a catalyst for applying polyacetylene on various materials (polyethylene, lithium, carbon) used for prepari ng the negative electrode of lithium batteries. It is shown that Li+ m ay be reversibly intercalated into the carbon material through a polya cetylene coating without the electrolyte decomposition and concurrent gas evolution.
