Mj. Atten et al., GIANT PSEUDOPOLYPS PRESENTING AS COLOCOLIC INTUSSUSCEPTION IN CROHNS COLITIS, The American journal of gastroenterology, 93(9), 1998, pp. 1591-1592
Bowel obstruction is a well-known complication of Crohn's disease and
is usually a result of stricture formation. Intussusception due to gia
nt pseudopolyps is a rare form of bowel obstruction even in Crohn's di
sease. These giant pseudopolyps rarely regress with medical management
alone and often require surgical resection, (Am J Gastroenterol 1998;
93: 1591-1592. (C) 1998 by Am. Coll. of Gastroenterology).
