R. Horvat, MAGNETIC-MOMENT CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE NEUTRINO INDEX OF REFRACTION IN THE EARLY UNIVERSE, Physical review. D. Particles and fields, 52(8), 1995, pp. 4754-4757
The existence of anomalous magnetic dipole moments for neutrinos can a
ffect neutrino oscillations in the early Universe through previously i
gnored refractive effects. Using the real-time approach of finite-temp
erature field theory, we have calculated the effective potential for n
eutrinos due to their magnetic moments and compared it to the standard
model value, in view of the astrophysical and laboratory constraints.
