Mn. Duyjacquemin et Jl. Dhondt, THE PROBLEM OF THE SPECIFIC IDENTITY OF SOME BISEXUAL AND PARTHENOGENETIC POPULATIONS OF POLYXENUS-LAGURUS (LINNE) (DIPLOPODES, PENICILLATES), Bulletin de la Societe zoologique de France, 123(2), 1998, pp. 159-172
The results of a comparative study, using gel electrophoresis (gradien
t polyacrylamide gels) of geographycally separate, sexual and asexual
populations of Polyxenus lagurus (Linne) (Diplopoda, Penicillata), ind
icate their monospecificity. The differences, whether related to sex o
r to instar, are small or absent, depending on the enzyme system consi
dered; each system behaves independently.
