Abstract
In China, annual coal consumption accounts for the first place all ove r the world in order to meet the high speed development of economy and improvement of the people's living quality. CO(2)emission from coal f ire is a main contributor to the climate change. We must abate CO(2)em ission besides developing economy for mitigating the global climate ch ange. In the feasible countermeasure to reduce CO2 emission, which inc ludes improving energy efficiency and developing alternative energy, d eveloping nuclear energy is an important one.
