Light-front quark model spin-wave functions are employed to calculate
the three independent couplings g(Sigma c Lambda c pi), f (Lambda c1 S
igma c pi), and f(Lambda c1)(Sigma c pi) of S wave to S wave and P wa
ve to S wave one-pion transitions. It is found that g(Sigma c Lambda c
pi) = 6.81 GeV-1, f(Lambda c1 Sigma c pi) = 1.16, and f (Lambda c1)(
Sigma c pi) = 0.96 x 10(-4) MeV-2. We also predict decay rates for spe
cific strong transitions of charmed baryons. [S0556-2821(98)02917-8]
