Abstract
The explanation of a 200 GeV R-parity violating squark to the DESY HER A high-Q(2) anomaly would have an important impact on supersymmetry-br eaking models. Here we show that a squark of mass around 200 GeV is di sallowed in the minimal gauge-mediated SUSY-breaking models in the par ameter space constrained by the radiative electroweak-symmetry breakin g and the experimental lower limits on supersymmetric particles, even after including the large R-parity violating couplings. Supergravity-m otivated models can, on the other hand, give rise to these scalar quar ks in a wide range of parameter space. [S0556-2821(98)05217-5].
