The elastic strain of the transverse waves excited in a cylindrical pr
oduct by an inclined transducer is estimated in the far radiation zone
. The influence of the curvature of the boundary on the amplitude of t
he emitted signal is shown to decrease as the prism of the transducer
laps in to match the surface of the product.
