Kp. Nzi et al., RADIOGRAPHIC ASPECTS OF OSTEOARTICULAR COMPLICATIONS IN BURULI ULCERS, Bulletin de la Societe de pathologie exotique et de ses filiales, 91(3), 1998, pp. 229-231
The authors examine radiographic aspects of osteo-articular and soft t
issue lesions on the basis of 30 files of in-patients suffering from B
uruli ulcers. They specify the chronology and precociousness of certai
n signs: soft tissue lesions, bone demineralization, periostal apposit
ion two months after the beginning of signs, and later osteolysis and
joint complications. These lesions are not specific and occur contiguo
usly to soft tissue lesions. The authors specify the part of secondary
-infection germs in the appearence of bone lesions.
