2), was prepared and structurally characterized. The cationic benzyl d
erivative with the [B(C6F5)(4)](-) counterion, catalytically polymeriz
es olefins, whereas with the eta(6)-[PhCH2B(C6F5)(3)](-) counterion th
e system is inactive.
