Abstract
A highly electron-deficient zirconium dibenzyl complex with a dianioni c tridentate bis(sigma-aryl)amine ligand, [(C10H6CH2)(2)NMe]Zr(CH2Ph)( 2), was prepared and structurally characterized. The cationic benzyl d erivative with the [B(C6F5)(4)](-) counterion, catalytically polymeriz es olefins, whereas with the eta(6)-[PhCH2B(C6F5)(3)](-) counterion th e system is inactive.
