A. Flores et al., THERMOGRAVIMETRIC STUDY OF THE DEGRADATION OF NITRATED, CHLORINATED AND BROMINATED POLY(ACENAPHTHYLENE), Polymer degradation and stability, 61(2), 1998, pp. 259-264
Several nitrated, chlorinated and brominated poly(acenaphthylene) samp
les with different molecular weight and substituent group content have
been obtained. Thermal degradation of these samples has been carried
out and it can be concluded that thermal stability decreases with incr
easing substituent group content, the NO2 group giving rise to least s
tability. In all cases thermal stability of these poly(acenaphthylene)
derivatives is smaller than that of unmodified poly(acenaphthylene).
