Abstract
We use the Preisach model to easily and accurately match the magnetic response of a laboratory-scale transformer and numerically simulate a series LCR circuit. Excellent agreement is obtained with experiment ov er a wide range of parameters for both non-resonant and ferroresonant behaviour. We then use each of the system's three independent paramete rs as bifurcation parameters and search for additional ferroresonant s olutions, thus demonstrating the potential predictive power of such si mulations.
