Abstract
The motivation for the experiment is shortly discussed. In contrast to the classical method of pi- absorption we will produce a pi- directly in a bound state employing the COSY Julich proton beam. A special cho ice of the underlying kinematics favors the cross section. The conside rations from these constraints for the detector will be given together with its status. An outlook is given on further possible activities.
