Abstract
Trichodina mystusi sp. n. is described from the gill-filaments of Myst us gulio (Hamilton) from Matla River, West Bengal,India. This trichodi nid is disc-to bell-shaped and flattened in lateral view. The mean dia meter of the body is 30.9 mu m (27.6-36.8) consisting of 20-24 denticl es. The shape of denticle and the appearance of central area is unique . There are 5-7 radial pins per denticle. The adoral spiral is 390-400 degrees.
