Abstract
We employed additive modulation of a laser-diode current to demonstrat e dramatic suppression of chaos in the output of a laser-diode-pumped multimode Nd:YAG laser. Stable periodic orbits were found to depend on the amplitude and the frequency modulation. (C) 1998 Optical Society of America.
