Abstract
The Raman scattering properties at high temperatures in non-crystallin e Ge30Se70 prepared by melt-quenching (MQ) and vacuum evaporation (VE) are investigated from the view point of the structural difference bet ween them. In the VE film with increasing temperatures, the mesoscopic structure containing edge-sharing GeSe4/2 tetrahedra changes to the s tructure only containing the corner-sharing tetrahedra even at tempera tures well below the glass transition temperature. In the MQ-glass, th e structure containing edge-sharing tetrahedra is more stable than tha t in the VE-film. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
