P. Stolorz, RECURSIVE APPROACHES TO THE ANALYSIS OF SHORT-RANGE DISORDED SYSTEMS IN THE LOW-TEMPERATURE REGIME, Physical review. B, Condensed matter, 48(5), 1993, pp. 3085-3089
Extensions of transfer-matrix methods are presented for reconstructing
the complete set of low-energy states for finite-size short-range dis
crete-spin lattice models, allowing accurate low-temperature calculati
ons on lattices of small size, unhindered by equilibration problems. A
version that reconstructs every ground state is applied to calculate
the order-parameter distribution at T=0 for the three-dimensional near
est-neighbor +/-J Ising spin glass on lattice sizes up to 4(3). The me
thods can also be applied to a number of problems in chemistry and bio
logy, especially the study of macromolecular structure.
