Abstract
A new type of mutual injection locking between two distributed Feedbac k laser diodes (DFB LDs) of the same structure is proposed and experim entally confirmed. The lasing frequencies and the spectra are locked a nd stabilised when the lasing frequency difference of the two LDs was equal to one Fabry-Perot mode spacing.
