TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL SPHERES OF PSYCHOLOGY IN ITALY

This article provides an overview of the process of training and profe ssionalism in the var-ious sectors of applied psychology in Italy. Fol lowing a historical << excursus >> through the cultural nuclei which h ave impeded and favored the development of Italian psychology, the ove rall picture of university and extra-university training possibilities is presented as well as the main professional areas where psychology is applied. Information is also provided on the recent legal recogniti on of the profession in Italy as well as problems and proposals for th e future development of training.
