Gs. Dyakonov et al., THEORETICAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PHYSICOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF LIQUID-SYSTEMS ON THE BASIS OF INTERMOLECULAR INTERACTION POTENTIAL, Theoretical foundations of chemical engineering, 32(4), 1998, pp. 425-435
Thermodynamic properties of liquids are described on the basis of part
ition functions and intermolecular interaction potentials. The results
of calculation of the equilibrium thermodynamic characteristics for t
he systems with spherically symmetric interaction potentials are prese
nted. Real molecular liquids (C-2-C-3 hydrocarbons) are considered wit
hin the framework of the model of central interactions and their heat
capacities, pressures, chemical potentials, and phase transitions are
calculated. The results of calculations agree satisfactorily with expe
rimental data.
