CROSS-SECTIONS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF EVAPORATION PARTICLES FROM COMPOUND NUCLEI RA-210,RA-212-ASTERISK OBTAINED IN CL-35-175 AND P-31+TA-181 INTERACTIONS(LU)

The cross sections for the production of evaporation particles have be
en measured in the neutron-evaporation and charged-particle-evaporatio
n channels of P-31 + Ta-181 and Cl-35 + Lu-175 interactions. These mea
surements have been performed at excitation energies of compound nucle
i between 50 and 90 MeV. These data are compared with the cross sectio
ns computed on the basis of the standard statistical model of compound
-nucleus deexcitation and with the cross sections for the production o
f these evaporation products in cold-fusion reactions. Some general re
gularities in the behavior of the hindrance factors for cold-fusion re
actions are discussed. The branching ratios of ex decay have been meas
ured for Rn-203m, At-198m,At-g, At-200,At- 201,At- 203, and (198)po is
otopes.
